Bristlenose Pleco Albino
Scientific Name: Ancistrus spp
origin: South America
Appearance: While juveniles look similar, mature adults are easy to sex. Males grow extensive, bushy, tentacle-like bristles on their snouts and cheeks, while females have few to no bristles. They also come in several color and fin variations, including Albino, Super Red, Longfin, and Blue-Eye Lemon.
Lifespan: 5 to 15 years
Tank Size: 20 gallons minimum
Temperature: 72–82°F (22–28°C) with a pH of 6.5–7.5
Temperament / Behavior: Generally peaceful, though they can become territorial with other bottom-dwelling fish.
Tank Mates: They can be kept alongside a wide variety of fish—ranging from delicate nano fish and shrimp to larger, more robust cichlids—provided there are plenty of caves and hiding spots in the tank
