Red-tailed Tinfoil Barb
Scientific Name: Barbonymus schwanenfeldii
origin: Southeast Asian
Appearance: silver body, red dorsal fin with a black blotch at the tip, red pectoral, pelvic and anal fins, red caudal fin with white margin and a black submarginal stripe along each lobe
Lifespan: 10 to 15 years
Tank Size: Adults require a tank of at least 150 to 175 gallons, ideally measuring 6 feet or more in length
Temperature: 72-80 pH: 6.5 to 7.5
Temperament / Behavior: They are highly social schooling fish. You should keep them in a group of at least 6 to prevent them from becoming skittish. They are generally peaceful but incredibly active and will outcompete or stress out slow, timid fish. They are also aggressive eaters and will readily consume live plants and smaller tankmates
