Red Zebra Mbuna Cichlid

Scientific Name: Metriaclima estherae

origin: native to Lake Malawi

Appearance: bright orange-to-red mbuna cichlid. 5-6 inches

Lifespan: 10 years

Tank Size: 75 gallons (longer tanks are better to manage territories)

Temperature: 75°F - 82°F pH 7.8 to 8.5

Temperament / Behavior: Semi-aggressive and territorial.

Tank Mates: They need to be kept with other assertive Malawi cichlids (like Yellow Labs or other mbuna) and should never be mixed with small or peaceful community fish
