Scientific Name: Horabagrus brachysoma

origin: native to Kerala, India

Appearance:  bright yellowish-brown body, large head, long barbels, and a distinct black spot behind the gills. Grows to 12-18 inches in length.

Lifespan:  10+ years

Tank Size: 100+ gallons

Temperature: 75-81, pH between 6.0 and 7.5

Temperament / Behavior:  Generally peaceful, but will readily eat smaller fish that fit in their mouths. They thrive best in schools or groups of their own kind

Tank Mates: Oscars, Severums, and Blood Parrots, Tinfoil Barbs, Bala Sharks, and Silver Dollars, Plecos, Striped Raphael Catfish, and larger Pictus Catfish, Bichirs
