Yellow Lab Cichlid

Scientific Name: Labidochromis caeruleus

origin: native to Lake Malawi

Appearance: yellow bodies and bold black-tipped fins, 3 to 4 inches

Lifespan: 10–18 years

Tank Size: 55 gallons (longer tanks are better to manage territories)

Temperature: 75°F - 82°F pH 7.8 to 8.5

Temperament / Behavior: Mildly aggressive (peaceful for an African cichlid)

Tank Mates: keep them in groups (e.g., one male to several females) and house them with other African cichlids of similar size and temperament
